Jon Barker has always had a deep love for fishing, but it wasn’t until he stumbled upon tournament angling that his passion truly ignited. What began as a fun pastime soon turned into an exciting challenge, and Barker found himself diving into the world of competitive fishing in the Bassmaster team tournament series in Michigan.

In 2020, Barker took his passion to the next level by purchasing his first bass boat, a move that allowed him to access more remote fishing locations and improve his chances of catching the biggest and best fish.

Now, Barker has his sights set on dominating the western basin of Lake Erie/Detroit River through the BFLs and higher level team tournaments. He’s determined to become a top angler in the region and is constantly working to improve his skills and techniques.

But it’s not just about individual success for Barker. He knows that fishing is a team sport, and he credits his friends and teammates Ryan Hartman and Frank Jr. with helping him become the angler he is today. Their support, advice, and camaraderie have been instrumental in his journey towards tournament success.
